Surface water is only one clue
A persistent wet area can be relevant, but a buried leak may drain away without a puddle or emerge away from the damaged pipe. Describe any water-supplier notification, meter observations and known supply route alongside what you can see.
Prepare information, not an excavation
Share the location of the meter and accessible stop valve, old repair records and any drawings of underground services. Tell us if access crosses another property or if the supply is shared. Leave opening the surface until the investigation supports a proposed access point.
Separate the pipe repair from the finish
The residential package includes required access or excavation, plumbing repair, parts, testing and the report. Restoring the driveway finish is separate. Discuss the likely access and plan the reinstatement with the relevant contractor after the plumbing work.
